David Raymond Maynard

David Maynard, 74, of Louisa, KY went home to be with his Lord on Wednesday, April 3, 2024. David was born May 21, 1949 in Louisa, KY to the late Charles and Marie (Tackett) Maynard.

David was an Associate Pastor at First Baptist Church of Louisa. He had a heart for ministry and service, and spent over 20 years as a missionary in Romania.  He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and friend. 

David was active in many fields. In addition to ministry, he worked in financial services, was a tumbling coach, and founded the library in Carter County. 

Surviving to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 53 years Rody Maynard; children Charles David (Mihaela) Maynard and Jeremiah Lewis (Anna) Maynard; and grandchildren Amisi Marie, Alexandria Grace, Addison Olivia, and Ainsley McKenna. 

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, April 8, 2024 at Noon at First Baptist Church of Louisa with Pastor Chuck Price officiating. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Monday, April 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to Noon at First Baptist Church of Louisa. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy should take the form of donations to As You Go Romanian Ministries.
