Charles "Smokey" Hammond Obituary

Charles "Smokey" Hammond, 77, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 5, 2018. Charles was born May 4, 1941 to the late Eveline Bolden.

Survivors include his children Matthew Thompson, JoAnne Perry, Melinda Moore, Randy Thompson, and Josephine Gillam; 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Glenhayes Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Glenhayes Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Maynard officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery at Vinson Branch.

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Mr. Hammond.
