Troy Edward Chafin

Troy Edward Chafin, 68, of Fort Gay, W.V. passed away Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home. He was born August 20, 1945 in Newtown, W.V., a son of the late Troy and Mary Alice Boyd Chafin. He was a coal miner, and was inducted into the National Mine Rescue Hall of Fame, he was a member of the New Life Outreach of Fort Gay and was also a member of the Fort Gay Lions Club. Survivors include, his loving wife, Nancy Lou Lambert Chafin of Fort Gay, W.V.; two daughters, Allison "Mark" Hooser of Fort Gay, W.V,; Anita "Greg" Hatfield of Beckley, W.V.; sister, Joy Chafin Barber of Cleveland, Ohio; Grandchildren, Blake Hooser and Brad "Becca" Hatfield; extended family, Ted and Wanda Lambert of Fort Gay, W.V.; Teddy and Krista Lambert of Huntington, W.V.; Don and Thelma Lambert of Forest Hills Ky.; Bonnie and Bob Crigger of Danville, Ky.; Shelia and Jim Henson of Chatteroy, W.V.; A special family friend, Dave Hensley. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Young Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Crigger officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Memory Garden in Toler, Ky.. Visitation will be held 6:00 til 9:00 PM Saturday at Young Funeral Home.
