William Lee Riffe, 73, of Fort Gay, W.V. passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Ky. He was born November 29, 1940 in Logan County, W.V. a son of the late Leonord and Cordillia Lawson Riffe. He was a retired Coal Miner and worked for North America Coal Company for 17 years, and a member of the UMWA and he was a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Kermit, W.V. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Riffe. Survivors include, two daughters, Christina "Brandon" Williams of Fort Gay, W.V.; Lisa "Johnny" Ousley of Orlando, Florida; three sons, Larry "Amy" Fiffe of Louisa, Ky,; Darrell Nathaniel Riffe of Pikeville, Ky.; William Lee "Terri" Riffe Jr. of East Lynn, W.V.; one brother, Lucian Riffe of Dunlow, W.V.; four sisters, Nettie Ratcliff of Kermit, W.V.; Catherine Riffe of Steptown, W.V.; CoraBelle Finley also of Steptown, W.V.; Merkie Riffe of Pigeon Forge, TN; Several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 PM Friday, January 10, 2014 at Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Collins Creek Cemetery, Warfield, Ky. Visitation will be 5:00 til 9:00 PM Thursday at Young Funeral Home.
