Charley Edwin Booth, 83, of Louisa passed away on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Ky.
Charley was born on April 15, 1934; to Everette and Tennie Booth. He was also preceded in death by his wife of twenty six years, Audrey Burgess Booth; stepdaughter, Leah Burgess Davis and sister; Anna Louise Booth.
Charley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He monitored Soviet Radio Communications while with the Signal Corp in Ethiopia.
Charley was a retired math professor; teaching advanced math for nearly thirty years at Paul Blazer High School. After retiring from P.B.H.S., he taught at Shawnee State University. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Louisa.
Survivors include his sister Eleanor Smith of West Jefferson, Ohio; daughters Jane Burgess Wallen (Dave) of Louisa; step son Jeff Burgess (Kathy) of Lexington; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; nephew Mark Smith and niece Vicki Ramga.
Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 28th at 1:00 pm at FUMC in Louisa with Reverend Scot Hoeksema and Reverend Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will begin at 12:00PM
