Morgan Franklin Finley
1931 - 2017

Morgan Franklin Finley, 85, of Fort Gay, WV passed away at home on Sunday, January 8, 2017.

He was born on August 16, 1931 in Williamson, WV to the late Thomas Jefferson and Minnie Adkins-Finley.

Mr. Finley worked in the coal mines as a coal miner for many years. He served his country honorably in the US Navy and was a member of the Fort Gay Church of God.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Wanda Lee Damron and one son Franklin Lee Finley.

He is survived by a daughter Tonna (Terry) Vanderpool of Fort Gay and two grandchildren Morgan Shane Vanderpool of Huntington, WV and Natalie Tess (Gary) Vanderpool-Clark of Barcelona, Spain.

Funeral services will be held at the Young Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 13, 2017 at 2 pm. Burial will follow at the Crabtree-Thompson Cemetery in Fort Gay. Visitation will be after 12 noon until service time on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Young Funeral Home Chapel.
