Barbara (Kimbler) Hickman

Barbara Hickman, 60, of Louisa, KY passed on to her Heavenly home on Wednesday, September 14, 2022. Barbara was born January 5,1962, in Columbus, OH to the late Denzil and Mary (Jasper) Kimbler. In addition to her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Jim Duke, of Cullman, AL; her siblings Roy Kimbler and Brenda Kimbler; and her grandson Braxton Ferguson.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children James (Amanda) Duke, of Fort Gay, WV; Michael (Tammy) Ferguson, of Blaine, KY; Crystal (Green) Ramey, of Louisa, KY; and Brandon (Dana) Ferguson, of Louisa, KY. Surviving grandchildren are Brittany Price, Alexandria Duke, Michael Ferguson, Desiree Ferguson, Tristan Ratliff, Natasha Ratliff,  Brayden King, Thomas (Christina) Dalton, Destany Dalton, Katie Dalton, Dixie Fowler, and Bentley Ferguson. Surviving siblings include Gene Kimbler, of Columbus, OH; Kay (Rick) Little, of Ashville, OH; Terry Kimbler, of Blaine, KY and Dale Kimbler of Louisa, KY. Barbara also leaves behind several great-grandchildren and a host of friends to mourn her passing. 

Funeral services for Ms. Hickman will be conducted on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Kimbler Cemetery in Flat Gap, KY. Friends may visit the family Thursday, September 29, 2022 in the Young Funeral Home Chapel from 11:00 AM until time of service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
