Bart Alan Salmons

Bart A. Salmons, 50, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 23, 2021. Bart was born May 31, 1971 in Huntington, WV to Wilts and Linda (Porter) Salmons.

Bart was a member of the Fort Gay United Methodist Church. He was an EMT for many years and was the former Chief of the Fort Gay Volunteer Fire Department. Bart was a talented artist. He loved to paint and draw. He enjoyed working with models including his trains and using his 3D printer to create. He was a member of Ghostbusters of West Virginia and built his own proton pack.

Survivors include his parents Wilts and Linda Salmons; daughter Andrea Dawn Salmons; brother Bret Adam (Gina) Salmons; nephew Noah Salmons; girlfriend Courtney Reeves and her children he loved as his own Serena Reeves, Bethany Reeves, and Selena Mills; his puppy Molly and his grand-pup Jax.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Casey Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Salmons Family Cemetery in Fort Gay. Friends may visit the family on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests anyone attending visitation and funeral services to wear a facial covering.
