Charles Ronald Poe

Charles Ronald Poe, 84, of South Point, OH went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Ronnie was born July 25, 1937 in Ironton, OH to the late William and Louise (Brown) Poe. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William Poe. 

Ronnie was a proud Tiger, a member of the Ironton High School Class of 1955. After high school, Ronnie joined the US Air Force. He proudly served his country. Ronnie was a CSX Retiree, having been an electrician and a train conductor. Ronnie was a member of Christ Temple Church. 

Survivors include his children Charles R. (Kellie E.) Martin, Eva C.B. Poe, and Asya Poe; step children Brian Harvey, Valerie Harvey, and Paula Harvey; grandchildren Taylor Martin, Jalena Martin, Vages Martin, Lashia Martin, Greyson Perry, and Ryder Adkins; and sister Mary Jane Byrd. 

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 11:30 AM at Christ Temple Church in Ashland, KY with Elder J.D. Crockrel officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Northeast. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM until time of service at Christ Temple Church.
