David Shannon Riley

David Shannon Riley, 44, of Blaine, KY entered the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 20, 2021 in Louisa, KY. He was born February 22, 1977 in Blaine , KY to David Nelson Riley and Donna Kathleen (Wellman) McDowell.  He was preceded in death by his mother Donna McDowell,  daughter Elizabeth Riley, maternal grandparents Franklin & Arzie Wellman, paternal grandparents James Guy & Alma Riley, and stepfather Larry McDowell.

Survivors include his father and stepmother David and Geraldine Riley; children Pat Riley, Johnathan Riley and David Crothers all of Blaine; his sisters Samantha (Zach) Cochran and Erica (Brian) Riley-Farmer both of Blaine; his brothers Jeremy (Tiffany) McDowell of Louisa, Anthony (Kerri) McDowell of IN, and Shannon Dale (Angie) McDowell of Georgetown; and a special friend Rosie Perry along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Shannon had made a profession of faith in Christ and attended the Elizabeth Baptist Church in Martha, KY. He was formerly employed by the Laborers Union Local #1445 of Catlettsburg, KY and was currently employed by the Lawrence County Road Department.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Keith Sturgill and Bro. Emmit Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Riley Family Cemetery on Cains Creek in Blaine. Friends may visit the family from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM on Monday, November 22, 2021 at the Young Funeral Home Chapel.

The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donation to Young Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
