Edgar Holbrook

Edgar Holbrook, 63, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 11, 2023. Edgar was born March 26, 1960 in Ohio to the late Arthur and Viola (Miller) Holbrook. 

Edgar was a member of Louisa Community Church. He retired after many years as a coal miner. Edgar loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father. He was devoted to his family and his church. 

Survivors include his wife of 44 years Mary Ellen Holbrook; children Mary Cook, Jennifer Young, Amanda Hall, and Courtney Hall; grandchildren Abigail, Ella Iris, Braxton, Peyton, Heaven, and Hunter; and siblings Wilma Wilson, Lula DeBord, and Melvin Crosby. 

Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Holbrook Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. 

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
