Janet Irene Hanshaw

Ms. Janet I. Hanshaw, 80, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Saturday,  March 19, 2022. Janet was born September 25, 1941 in Louisa,  KY to the late Wallace and Edith (Fraley) Hanshaw. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Frank Hanshaw and brothers in law Jim Caudill, Tim Meyers, and Oliver Stevens. 

Janet was a member of Spencer Free Will Baptist Church.  She was retired from Louisa Discount Store. 

Survivors include her siblings Opal Caudill,  Patsy Meyers, Gretta Stevens, Martha Simpkins Sparks, Elaine (Frank) Adkins, Homer (Tammy) Hanshaw, and Joe (Patty) Hanshaw; sister in law Debbie Hanshaw; and a host of nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday,  March 22, 2022 at 11:00 AM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.  Burial will follow in the Wellman Cemetery.  Friends may visit the family on Monday,  March 21, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Young Funeral Home.  

Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Hanshaw and her family.
