Jeanette (Perkins) Young

Jeanette Young, 87, of Webbville, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2023. She was born April 14, 1936 in Webbville, KY to the late Lee and Allie (Daniels) Perkins. In addition to her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her loving husband Luther Young; children David Lee Young, John Luther Young, and Judy Bush; and siblings Lawrence Perkins, Bill Perkins, Sydney Perkins, and Nellie Liming.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children Dewey Ray (Melissa) Young, of Louisa, KY, Donald (Peggy) Young, of Fallsburg, KY, Dorothy (Donald) Osborne, of Webbville, KY, Helen Annette Church, of Webbville, KY, Ronald Jay (Marie) Young, of Louisa, KY, Betty Sue (Lee) Harkness, of Dandridge, TN, and Clyde (Tina) Young, Jr., of Webbville, KY; sisters Pearl Chaffins, Dorothy Kelly, and Ina Faye Boggs; 39 grandchildren, 55 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; notable neighbors Arlie Young, Faye Young, and Mitchell Young; special sister-in-law Esther Young; and nephew J.B. Carter. She also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews to mourn her passing. 

Mrs. Young was a homemaker and took great pride in her family. When Jeanette was able, she worshipped at the Watterson Church of Irish Creek. She was also baptized there. 

The family would like to thank the staff of Three River's Medical Center for the care that was given to their mother. 

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses

A graveside service will be conducted Monday, July 3, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Young Family Cemetery on Irish Creek Road. Brother James Allen Adams will officiate. Friends may gather with the family from noon until time of service at the cemetery. A visitation will also be held Sunday, July 2, 2023 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
