Mrs. Joyce Ratliff, 85, of Louisa, KY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 1, 2020 surrounded by her family. Joyce was born December 16, 1934 in Busseyville, KY to the late Cecil E. and Edith (Bowe) Thompson.

Joyce attended Spencer Free Will Baptist Church. She was very proud of her military life. Joyce enjoyed quilting and traveling. She lived life to the fullest and was a fighter, having overcome many obstacles in life with her many health issues.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Emmit Nelson Ratliff. Survivors include her daughter and son in law Teresa "Tery" Compton and David Lance Compton, Jr.; grandchildren Mikel (Heather) Compton, Brandy (Heath) Preston, and Taud (Christy) Compton; great grandchildren Mason Preston, Drew Compton, Miles Preston, Katie Compton, Molly Compton, Hannah Compton, Shelby Compton, Sophia Preston, Hadley Compton, and Tate Compton; and her sister and brother in law Roberta June and Ron Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. Ratliff are private and will be conducted by her family.
