Obituary
Lurline Cyrus, 68, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 8, 2023. Lurline was born September 28, 1954 in Louisa, KY to the late Emery and Viola (Tackett) Cyrus. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 9 brothers and sisters.
Lurline was a Christian and loved her family very much.
Survivors include her stepdaughter Samantha Smith; siblings Pharon "Bud" Cyrus, Vinson Dee Cyrus, Linda Elliott, Margaret Meade, and Okey Picklesimer; a host a nieces and nephews; and her best friend Diane Short.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mac Ray Cyrus officiating. Burial will follow in the Cyrus Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
Young Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Ms. Cyrus and her family.
