Timothy Ellis Blunt

Timothy E. Blunt, 56, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 19, 2022 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, WV. Tim was born February 9, 1966 in Buffalo, NY to the late Clarence and Sally Blunt. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Jason Cunningham. 

Tim enjoyed his life and loved his family. He was always the life of the party. Tim was a member of Carpenters Union Locals 302 and 439. In his free time he enjoyed hunting. 

Survivors include his children Shane Blunt, Christian Cunningham, and Timothy Gauthier; the joy and spark of his life granddaughter Kenley Blunt; sister Dawna Blunt; mother of his children Teresa Blunt; special friend J.R. Raines; in laws Calvin and Debra Plummer, William and Chris Childers, David and Dwana Doss, and Jimmy Doss; and many nieces and nephews.  

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 11:00 AM at the Young Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Darin Fetherolf officiating. Burial will follow in Doss Cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Young Funeral Home Chapel. 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to help offset funeral expenses.
