Willie Ray Spears

Willie Ray Spears, 89, of Fort Gay, WV went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 5, 2020. Willie was born June 9, 1930 in Fort Gay, WV to the late Burgess and Alta (Lambert) Spears. He retired from Norfolk Southern Railroad and the State of West Virginia. Willie was a member of Bartram Chapel, where he was baptized. 

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Ruth Spears; children Betty Rae Spears, Dana Lynn Spears, Freida Kelley, and Connie Ruth Hanshaw; grandson Robbie Spears; and sister Betty Peters. 

Willie is survived by his sons and daughters in law Buck (Patty) Spears and Billy (Tammy) Spears; grandchildren Lisa Methax, Jill Kitts, Amanda Jackson, Colin Kelley, Bobby Spears, and Lacy Spears; 10 great grandchildren and sister Nell Dora Hatfield.

The family would like to thank Reba Cyrus and Bo Jaye "Jo Bo" Keene for all their help in caring for Willie. 

Funeral services for Willie will be private.
